Synopsis

An invaluable Vermeer painting—once thought lost to the Nazis—is set for a historic unveiling at the Los Angeles Art Museum. But on the eve of its showing, it’s stolen by an ingenious thief who leaves only an empty frame behind with a cryptic set of numbers. For puzzle-solver Cathy Davis, the implications of white supremacy, murder, and greed aren’t painting a very pretty picture.
